Samuel M. Salamon, M.D., F.R.C.S.C., F.A.C.S. graduated from Columbia University and Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, trained in medicine and surgery in New York City, then did his ophthalmology residency at the Medical College in Georgia.  Following this, he did a fellowship in corneal transplantation and external diseases of the eye at the Eye and Ear Institute of Pittsburgh, and then taught as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Alabama School of Medicine.

He is the President and founder of the Corrective Eye Center, a leading Ophthalmology practice in the Greater Cleveland area.  Dr. Salamon has also been involved in clinical research, particularly in the areas of cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment and corneal disease. 

He served as Director of Ophthalmology at St. Vincent Charity Hospital from 1985 to 2000, and as Medical Director of the Cleveland Surgical Suite from 1996 through 2004.  Dr. Salamon maintains admitting privileges at St. Vincent Charity Hospital and Euclid Hospital.
